Expert Witness and Resolution
20-20 Consulting is called on from time-to-time to consult and/or be an expert witness for litigation involving employment matters in the real estate, financial and service industries. This may take the form of the following categories of expertise;
- Compensation opinions both present and future,
- Calculation of lost compensation,
- Calculation of damages to a company,
- Hiring practices,
- Qualifications of individuals for specific positions,
- Offers of employment,
- Tendering a resignation,
- Candidate and/or employee representations during the hiring process,
- Company representations during the hiring process.
This consulting and expert witness practice usually involves report generating and presenting, and in rare instances actual testimony during a trial proceeding. Contrary to popular lore, most disputes do not end in a courtroom trial. The majority of them settle, often as a result of the careful work done by experts and consultants. Typically, 20-20 Consulting is hired to educate clients about technical issues or specific unique industries practices and then suggest strategies, actions, and in some instances do further research and then prepare reports.
