Bob Cavoto began his search career at a large firm headquartered in downtown Chicago. Within six (6) months, due to his success and genuine enjoyment of the search business, he started his own search firm in Oak Brook, Illinois. Bob is the Managing Principal of 20-20 Foresight Executive Search. Because of his enjoyment of the search business, Bob does not manage the day-to-day activities of the business, but sets strategic direction for the firm. Bob is an expert in the real estate, financial and construction service industries. Additionally, Bob has established himself as the premier executive and career-coaching expert in the industries that he serves.

Bob was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. He currently resides in Chicago, and intermittently in Newport Beach and the Washington DC area. During his rare leisure time he is an avid sailor (on Lake Michigan, the Pacific Ocean and Chesapeake Bay) triathlete and squash player.

Bob has an accounting degree from the University of Illinois, Champaign. He holds a Certified Public Accountants certificate amongst numerous other designations in this field. He also is a licensed real estate broker in the state of Illinois and California and has taught real estate courses offered at the college level. He also has Series 7 and 63 licenses.

Bob began his career with Arthur Andersen & Company in Chicago, Illinois. For three (3) years he was a Senior Auditor in the Financial and Real Estate Division doing audits of large construction and real estate companies in the Mid-west. For the next three (3) years Bob was a Consulting Manager, for Andersen Consulting in Chicago doing large system projects for real estate and financial services companies worldwide. Bob had several engagements in Europe and Central America. Bob spent the next nine (9) years of his career with Merrill Lynch Realty. Bob’s initial responsibility was Chief Financial Officer in charge of the mid-west region. He then went on to be President of Merrill Lynch Mortgage and eventually Merrill Lynch Realty in Chicago. Both were substantial organizations. In 1994, he formed 20-20 Foresight Executive Search.
